As iniciative from three spanish investors, since long settled in Panama, Puerta del Sol Hotel opened its doors to the public on July 27th, 2001. Located at the Puerta del Sol Building which, during the many months that its construction lasted, kept the attention of the comunity busy since it was built in one of the most central blocks of the city, just meters away from the Cervantes Park which is the town´s heart and one of the most important landmarks of David.

Hotel Puerta del Sol began with 40 employees, one parking lot, it´s restaurant, and 86 rooms. Since then, many remodelations of the building and rooms have taken place, the number of employees has increased up to 60 and three meeting rooms plus one parking lot were added in order to provide the costumer with better services and products.
